Capella Industrial are recruiting on behalf of a precision toolmaking and mould/die manufacturing business.

The Business

The company operates a high-precision engineering environment, manufacturing and maintaining tooling for complex applications. Work includes new tool manufacture, inserts, cores, cavities, modifications and repairs, all produced to tight tolerances and exacting standards.

The Role

You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines producing precision components used within tooling assemblies. This role requires a toolmaker’s mindset, not repetitive production machining.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC milling machines producing precision tooling components
• Work from engineering drawings, models and job packs
• Prove out programs, adjust offsets and optimise machining strategies
• Machine complex inserts, cores, cavities and detailed features
• Inspect components using measuring equipment to ensure accuracy
• Work with CAM outputs generated using Autodesk PowerMill
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping

What We’re Looking For

• Proven CNC milling experience within toolmaking or precision engineering
• Strong understanding of machining to fine tolerances
• Confident with setups, tooling selection and problem solving
• Able to work independently while contributing to a team environment
